Why Pads and Condoms Should Not Be Flushed Absorbent pads and similar products swell and block pipes. Condoms can inflate or fill with waste, acting like elastic plugs. Neither breaks down quickly. Once lodged they often demand mechanical removal. Wrap and place in the trash for reliable disposal.
