5. Autonomous Navigation Systems



Modern bomb disposal robots now include sophisticated autonomous navigation skills driven by SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping) technology. These methods let robots track their position inside their surroundings and simultaneously produce accurate 3D maps of it in real-time. The robots can negotiate difficult surroundings, avoid obstructions, and keep equilibrium on uneven ground on their own initiative. This autonomy lets operators concentrate on the important chore of explosive device assessment instead of controlling fundamental robot movement.
